District 112 Board members are elected at-large, representing all citizens of our communities.

Filing period for School Board candidates set for August 3-17


Residents interested in running for a seat on the Eastern Carver County School Board may file an Affidavit of Candidacy August 3-17 in the Superintendent's office at the District Education Center, 11 Peavey Road, Chaska. The filing fee is $2.00.

Five positions will be on the ballot November 2.

Voters will select four candidates to fill terms currently held by Rod Franks, Sally Stuckey, Diane Koban, and Ken Hiller.

In addition, voters will elect a resident to complete the remaining two years on the term of Carlos Gallegos who resigned last year. The seat is currently held by appointee Lisa Anderson.

Candidates must choose to run for either a four-year position or the two-year term.

To be eligible for office, candidates must:
  • Be an eligible voter
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Be a resident of the district for 30 days prior to the general election
  • Have no record of criminal sexual misconduct for which registration is required
  • Have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election
